“What a brilliant weekend – the Burnett River kayak/canoe tour had a great variety of paddling from serene open spaces, to tight slalom sections through rocks and rapids. Dan had thought of everything and was the perfect host – thanks for a top trip!”

“I went twice with the Oasis Adventures team on a Kayak excursion through the Burnett River. Best weekends ever. We left early on Saturday Morning, we paddled and then we camped next to the River. Oasis planned everything in advance. They took in consideration the weather, river status, everything. They know the place, and know what to prepare in advance, to take excellent care of us. Likewise, they always had every tool or anything needed for any occasion.
Thank you Oasis Adventures for these great weekends!”

“The trip along Burnett River is not one to miss!
What a weekend away along the Burnett River, people from all walks of life joined and it was such an experience.
Every single individual on this trip bought something to the table, our guide with their leadership and initiative, V with her rock adventures, Mel with her knowledge of birds and dad jokes, and Ahmend with his glorious coffee the next morning 🤤
If you’re in the area, highly recommend joining Oasis on this adventure!”

“Loved going down the little rapid sections on the Burnett! So much fun and then onto the next stretch which is always different to the last bit. I felt at home in my kayak paddling along and didn’t want to go home. We had everything we needed for our paddling, camping adventure. It’s something you don’t do everyday in a very unique spot and is totally worth the trip!”

a natural gift in our region that not many people know about
“Loved exploring untouched river and a natural gift in our region that not many people know about. Upper, narrow stretches of the Burnett, through to the wider sections, are spectacular for an amazing time out on the water. Nights out camping and away from city lights make for a great view of the stars.
Special shout out to our guide, who made the experience. From planning, organising, and making it a smooth weekend from start to finish, their knowledge of the river and good nature were awesome. Would definitely do again and recommend for individuals and families alike.”

Would Go Again In A Heartbeat!
Oasis guided a small group of us down the Burnett River for a weekend, and we had an absolute blast!
The Burnett is one of very few places where you can see endangered Australian lungfish in the wild, and the trip did not disappoint – we saw several!
This river is lovely and wide and clean, with lots of spots to safely camp and enjoy the scenery and wildlife.
We started the trip near Gayndah and the river winds through the citrus groves there. The trees were flowering at the time and the smell was heavenly.
Our Oasis guide was great and kept us safe and entertained.
Would go again in a heartbeat if I had the time 🙂

“Kayaking along the Burnett River with Oasis Adventures was a fantastic experience.
We started up near the dam wall and loaded our camping gear and eskies on the Kayaks and off we went. No experience required and soon a motley group of people quickly became mates as we navigated the various rapids, cooked lunch on the banks of the river or stopped for a beer and a swim.
An easy kayak, in a picturesque spot with abundant wildlife and not another person in sight.
If you are after some adventure with a well organised guide and host and enjoy a laugh, then I highly recommend Oasis Adventures. “

Oasis guides are true masters of outdoorsmanship and can’t wish for a better guide! Worth every penny! Going back for sure!”

“Had an awesome 2 days paddling this amazing river with the Oasis Adventures trip. Remote and wild enough to be an adventure but at a fun pace that allows for some relaxation and exploring. Our guide was very cheery and capable, ran the trip really well, made sure we all had a blast and were looked after. Would recommend for sure!

highlight was lunch served to us in hammocks
“Had a blast doing the SUP overnight camping trip from Middle Creek, Eurimbla to Pancake Creek.
Met some cool peeps, had some belly laughs, saw the sun rise over the water as we paddled off on our adventure.
Oasis Adventures had some epic surprises in store for us – a highlight was lunch served to us in hammocks as we rested our legs and sipped cold beers overlooking the pristine waters of Pancake Creek in a shady Mangrove Oasis of clear water, & white sand no less.
Seeing turtles and loads of wildlife was a close second, seabirds, colourful coral and finally a magic sunset before dinner.
The trek up the hill to the lookout was totally worth it to see almost 360 views, and the caretakers there gave us the spiel with local histories to boot.
If you’re looking for an adventure that surpasses your everyday guided tour and are looking for more of a make your own adventure, than you’d enjoy one of these tours.
This adventure awakens a need to go do more cool stuff, shows us what beauty is literally just down the way.
All you have to do is say yes! Get out and get livin!”

Before we went on this trip, I had gone on to one hour sessions where I hired a board out in the marina at 1770. They were both very calm days, so (my experience was) very limited until yesterday nine hours on the water , but it was fun and it was really beautiful at the end.
I liked being on the water for the sunrise. That was a highlight for sure.
It was quite sociable. So it was good that we were like a tight little group, so we would always have each other’s back and then catch up to each other and then disperse a little bit. So yeah, so it was really good that we all got along lunch spot. Lunch was really good. All the food’s been really great. I’ve thought about food. I think 50% of the time I’ve been here and what the next meal was.
So I feel like (this trip and being outdoors) it’s just been really like coming back to getting really slow and being super present, which has been really nice. So yes, it’s been really good and like taking in sunsets, sunrises, hearing the water during the night. Really good.
Thanks to you for organizing we wouldn’t be here without you, so thank you.
